The Patek Philippe World Time Reference 5130

Origonally made in the 1930s-1940s, Patek Philippe has reintroduced a contemporary version of the World Time wristwatch (part of the Complicated Timepiece Collection from Patek). The Patek Philippe Ref. 5130G (pictured above) features a guilloched sunburst dial, distinctive hour markers and larger case size of 39.5mm. The World Time with it's rich heritage is a highly sought after timepiece and a favorite with watch collectors the world wide.

The Patek Philippe World Time displays local time represented by the city at 12 o'clock and the time in all other time zones. When traveling from one time zone to another, simply press the push piece at 10 o'clock until the city which represents your destination time zone appears at 12 o'clock. The Caliber 240HU is a self-winding movement and contains 239 individual parts.

The Patek World Time contains a sapphire crystal back to allow viewing of this special movement. The World Time is available in 18Kt white gold (Patek Philippe Reference 5130G), 18Kt rose gold (Patek Philippe Reference 5130R) and in platinum (Patek Philippe 5130P). The World Time comes on a croco strap with fold-over clasp. This is one of my favorite timepieces. The World Time from Patek Philippe is truly a masterpiece.
