The latter is an original system enabling extremely clear reading of the minutes being timed, exactly like conventional time read off thanks to the dedicated red arrow- tipped hand. It is complemented by a 12 hour counter at 9 o'clock and a central scale with hundredth of an hour or a hundredth of a minute graduations. In addition to it's traditional fixed tachometer scale, the dashboard-style dial features a variable tachometer with circular slide rule.
